What is a utility token?
A utility token gives access to benefits within an ecosystem. For $RVM, that means the Premiere Pass, the supporter community and activities connected to the film. $RVM does not represent equity in the studio.
What is the ERC-20 standard?
ERC-20 is the common standard for tokens on Ethereum and compatible networks such as Base. It means $RVM works with almost every wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet…) and can be traded on exchanges such as Uniswap.
$RVM also supports Permit (ERC-2612): you can approve token spending with a signature instead of a separate transaction, saving a step and a fee.
Why Base?
- Low cost: thanks to Ethereum’s EIP-4844 upgrade, which made storing transaction data on Ethereum far cheaper, a Base transaction typically costs around $0.001 – $0.01.
- Ethereum-grade security: Base is an optimistic rollup built on the OP Stack. Transactions are bundled and settled on Ethereum, so Base inherits Ethereum’s security.
- Beginner-friendly: supports Coinbase Smart Wallet and sign-in with a passkey or Face ID, plus card payments that convert straight to USDC.
- Low deployment cost: deploying the full contract suite costs only a few dollars, keeping more of the budget for the film.
Fixed supply
All 1,000,000,000 $RVM are created once and allocated to 7 groups straight away. No further tokens can be minted after that.
